Ants!

Having ants in your home might not seem like a major deal. They are basically harmless to your home, but this doesn’t mean that you want them in your home. Ants can get into your food and prove to be quite a nuisance, and there are some types of ants that will dig through wood, as well as, some that could eat the insulation on your wires causing shorts or even a fire. Usually, your first sign of an impending ant invasion will be just one or two scouts.

They will then return to alert the colony about available food, water or shelter inside your home. Denying access to these things can make your home less attractive to ants. If you spill something, especially something sweet like soda or coffee containing sugar, wipe it up immediately. Clean out recycled soda cans before putting them out and close up sugar containers tightly in a sealed container.

There are also a variety of ant traps that you can use to get rid of them.
